We are currently looking for a Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of what will be one of the most iconic projects in Melbourne, the highly anticipated Melbourne Airport Rail (MAR) Project!
In this role you will support the Package Director & Senior Project Manager, leading the respective work packages of the Melbourne Airport Rail project within the safety, time, cost and quality parameters.
This is a full-time permanent role, primarily based in Melbourne’s CBD.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Develop and maintain in-depth technical knowledge of the project and package scope, providing briefings, presentations and information as required to team members and internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and sustain lasting relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders to help promote a collaborative and open ‘one team’ culture.
- Assist with the preparation of scope documentation for specific activities/works and progress the engagement of the contractor/supplier, including tendering, evaluation contract award.
- Demonstrate the skills to break down complex technical information and present it in a way that is accessible to all team members regardless of background and discipline.
- Identify and embed improvements and innovations in our work practices, processes and activities as a package, project and division.
- Ensure a robust system is in place to receive, record and transmit incoming technical information such as drawings, specifications, requests for information, standard changes, options assessments and analyses.
- Review and provide input on technical drawings and documents throughout all lifecycle phases of the design process and develop knowledge of internal stakeholder requirements.
About You
- You will have demonstrated experience working on complex projects including all life cycle facets associated with design, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering
- Commercial exposure & demonstrated experience in planning and scheduling.
- Ability to successfully develop and manage multi-stakeholder relationships.
- Experience briefing and presenting to senior leadership.
- Ability to adapt and learn in a flexible technical environment to satisfy client and stakeholder requests.
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment and promoting a positive and inclusive culture.
