About the Opportunity
The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the PEM and broader project engineering team to ensure contracted engineering services are delivered to meet project performance in terms of schedule and budget as well as operational mission needs.

Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager you will:

  • Apply knowledge and understanding to engineering theories, concepts, practices, principals and approaches in a range of standard products and services.
  • Design and develop solutions to a range of engineering situations and problems within the scope of Consolidated Contract.
  • Review, analyse and audit engineering data, methodologies and validate the results interpreted.
  • Resolve technical & performance issues and problems.
  • Independently review peers' work as required, identify technical risks and support planning activities.
  • Support the Service Centre and supply chain as required
  • Provide supporting documentation for S&Qs/Minor Bids.
  • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders as required to ensure their needs are fully considered and incorporated where appropriate and agreed.
  • Perform some on the job training of new team members.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement agreed process changes.
  • Provide support for customer reporting as and when required

About you

As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:

  • The ability to obtain or already hold an Australian Defence Clearance (Essential)
  • Good knowledge of overall project engineering development lifecycle
  • A University degree level engineering qualification preferably within a RF, Electrical or Mechatronics background.
  • Experience in CAMM2, Omega, MaintOps, OmegaPS, Oracle/MTMS, Maximo
  • Ability to work independently in a versatile environment
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills
