Join a team working at the frontier of research on fish and Pacific food systems, positively contributing to the lives of people in coastal communities in the Pacific region.
As a key team member supporting several major research projects in the Pacific, this position assists the Program Manager and Project Leaders to coordinate logistics and make arrangements for project workshops, support meetings, and in reporting, communication and outreach. The role also maintains systems to support efficient and effective implementation of the projects’ monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks to inform continuous improvement. We are looking for someone with an interest and experience working in international rural development, humanitarian programs or the non-profit sector , or who has worked with stakeholders in the Asia Pacific. Excellent organisational skills, an eye for detail, the ability to work proactively to resolve challenges, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and teamwork are essential to this role.
The position is based at ANCORS, Australia’s only multidisciplinary university-based centre dedicated to research, education and training on ocean law, maritime security and natural marine resource management, within the Fish in Sustainable Food Systems group. It is a full-time position, but part-time applicants will be considered. Travel to the Pacific region may be required.
