The Department of Treasury and Finance provides economic, financial and resource management advice to help the Victorian Government deliver its policies. We strive for excellence in financial and economic management to improve the lives of all Victorians.

The Market Housing team advises the Government on opportunities to improve the accessibility and sustainability of Victoria's housing market, through best practice policy development and delivery.

This team is responsible for the successful $500 million Victorian Homebuyer Fund, a shared equity scheme whereby the Government co-invests with participants in residential property, in exchange for an equivalent equity share. The Government delivers this scheme in partnership with a range of external partners.

You will play a critical role supporting the Market Housing team's strategic and policy agenda to improve the accessibility, affordability and sustainability of Victoria's housing market, your main responsibilities include:

• Support complex research tasks and strategic policy proposals to improve the housing market or Victoria's economic performance more broadly, which may involve legislative reforms, new policies/strategies, new pilot projects and/or partnerships with industry or other governments.
• Support the delivery, management and continuous improvement of the Victorian Homebuyer Fund, including its evolution and work with key delivery partners, and other market housing policies/projects developed and/or delivered by the team.
• Communicate with, negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Support core government business, which includes preparing executive briefings, correspondence, reports, presentations and meeting papers that are that are timely, accurate and fit-for-purpose.
