The Project Accounting Manager is responsible for providing financial management and oversight of programs within the assigned Product Line. The Project Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring that all programs within the Product Line are appropriately managed by the relevant Project Accountant, including the monitoring, and reporting of program financial performance, pricing of minor change proposals, monthly reporting and compliance to Company policies and procedures. The Project Accounting Manager is also responsible for the effective leadership of assigned Project Accounting Analysts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all financial aspects of programs within the assigned Product Line, including set up of new projects on Financial Systems and ensure appropriate project specific finance procedures are in place, monitoring program financial performance, timely and accurate sales and cash forecasting, and management of foreign currency issues in projects.
  • Provide expert advice on complex project financial matters to ensure successful execution and profitability of all projects within the Product Line.
  • Provide advice to senior program management on risk mitigation as related to financial outcomes throughout all phases of projects.
  • Contribute to the functioning of the Finance Leadership Team by driving achievement of the Finance vision, strategies and goals.
  • Provide accurate results, analysis and forecasts for Financial Planning and Analysis and Corporate Accounting for the Product Line.
  • Ensure reconciliation of contract values is maintained for all programs and price variations are calculated for each contract.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Foster a sense of urgency in the team for reaching goals and meeting deadlines.
  • Clarifies the organisational (e.g. finance, program, product line) vision and strategy and ensures that efforts are
  • Prioritised to support them.
  • Requires a University Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional qualification (e.g. CPA, CA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience.
