Production Plannner

 

Description:

As a Production Planner, you will report to the Planning Manager, and be based in Melbourne, Clayton site.

You will manage the plant's production planning (13 weeks) and scheduling (4 weeks). You will collaborate with other departments, specifically Supply Chain, Operations, Technical, Sales, and Warehouse, to ensure our production plan meets customer orders and demand. Work on the reduction of recoverable assets and help improve Supply Chain Processes.

Responsibilities

  • 5S knowledge and understanding of how to maintain and improve standards.
  • Participate in the improvement and standardization of Supply Chain processes.
  • Responsible for weekly production schedule and plan alignment to Schedule Adherence measures. Collaborate with First line managers for root cause analysis for delays.
  • Provide recommendations on any changes related to MOQ and safety stock reduction.
  • Work closely with production Team Leaders, Managers, Supply Chain, and SBU managers to ensure an understanding of the production schedule.
  • Working closely with the market team to ensure an agreed understanding of demand, including priorities, timelines, and customer requirements.
  • Manage MTO products and communicate with relevant departments on matters related to these MTO products.
  • Analyse Supply Shortage report, plan and order raw materials and packaging based on the MRP messages derived from the above report.
  • Reporting on reasons for OTIF failures for finished goods and providing feedback to the S&OP meetings.
  • Root cause analysis investigations into the causes of materials being late/excess inventory.
  • Actively participate in the monthly Supply Review and action items relating to the rough-cut capacity plan that Planning and Production will carry out.
  • Maintain a development plan.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in production planning or a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant field.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a bonus.
  • Experience working with SAP, MS Suite, and ERP skills.
