As a Product Manager within our Group Life Product & Pricing team, you will be primarily responsible for delivering market leading, profitable products (including services) and support for TAL’s Group Life Industry Fund clients.

You will have overall responsibility for product portfolio management and development for a range of Industry Fund clients, applying your knowledge of the product lifecycle, analytical and problem-solving skills and commercial judgment to support the industry-leading TAL Group Life Division to acquire new mandates, install new schemes, maintain market-competitive products, and retain and grow valuable existing partnerships.

What will you be responsible for?
 

  • Ensuring active product management plans/strategies are in place for a product portfolio to ensure profitability
  • Implementing strategies for management of the business
  • Creating new processes to enhance the product
  • Defining, developing and maintaining up-to-date product documentation for Group Life and Group Salary Continuance including for tenders, proposals, policy documents, service level agreements and other required disclosure material
  • Understanding and negotiating complex contracts independently and to arrange proper drafting, sign off and execution
  • Knowing and tracking client portfolio rankings based on available research databases and be an expert with respect to client competitors
  • Tracking and reporting on Product approved exceptions/concessions for the client portfolio
  • Implementing Product enhancement/upgrade/changes on a regular basis
  • Working on other projects and opportunities as required by the Senior Product Manager
  • Legislation/regulatory compliance of a portfolio of group policies
  • Managing change and influence others to ensure compliance
  • Running product workshops, training for internal and external stakeholders
  • Identifying new market opportunities or potential problems
  • Representing Product on internal projects/forums
  • Influencing Key Account Team members and leaders
  • Thought leadership in insurance outside of the team
  • Creating marketing/technical material where required
