Description:
The DRD Team is supporting an International EPCM on a NZ based Gold Project. The team are currently seeking a qualified Procurement specialist to join the team on a 6-9 month basis with prior experience in Gold highly desired.
The office is based in the CBD and is convenient to be accessed by public transport and the team are dynamic and friendly.
The Duties Include
- Execute the procurement plan and assists in the scheduling of the equipment contract packages.
- Participate in the preparation of the detailed estimate and the control budget.
- Prepare commercial terms and conditions for contracts and purchase orders.
- Carry out necessary surveys to determine which materials/equipment may be available locally and those to be purchased direct from international suppliers.
- Ensure the project objectives of quality, cost and schedule are being met.
- Ensure the lawful obligations of Stantec and Client are passed on to the suppliers and contractors.
- Ensure procurement is being carried out in a professional and ethical manner in accordance with Stantec and clients policy
- Establish the levels of quality, the methods and procedures to control and report Quality Assurance requirements during the procurement cycle.
- Ensure that policies and procedures for procurement are adhered to
- Co-ordinate work requirement with other disciplines to ensure that procurement is aligned with all changes.
- Establish and maintain a close working relationship with Client’s Procurement Representatives and ensure the procurement responsibilities of Stantec are being fulfilled.
- To hold weekly procurement meetings to review progress as measured against the project schedule.
- Prepare and issue of Requests for Tender, the receipt of tenders and preparation of commercial evaluations.
- After receipt of technical evaluations, prepare joint technical/commercial recommendations.
- Administration of Purchase Orders, and inspection, expediting and logistics activities.
- Advise of any disputes, actions, or potential claims against the Purchase Orders or Construction Contracts.
- Ensure that potential claims are identified and recorded.
- Monitor settlement of insurance claims against the Project.
- Establish and maintain a good working relationship with the contractors/suppliers for the project and work with the various managers and project personnel.
- Maintain the procurement register to track package status throughout its lifecycle.
- Administration of the TenderLink application throughout the package lifecycle.
