An exciting opportunity has arisen for a procurement professional to deliver across the full procurement lifecycle, from category planning to sourcing strategy, execution, contract management, and relationship management. Utilising your strong communication skills, a key focus will be developing strong internal stakeholder relationships by providing sound commercial advice and identifying innovative solutions to University challenges. Crucial to the role is an understanding of the supply market, having knowledge of the critical cost and service dependencies, and recognizing key drivers for both internal and external stakeholders, to ensure that the Procurement team delivers on the University key commercial priorities. A strong interest and/or experience in delivering projects with a sustainability focus would be considered very favorably, as well as recent experience in managing strategic services within a large organisation.

Procurement projects and category management responsibility of this role will be focused across the Marketing, HR and Student/Academic Services areas. However, the role will also have opportunities to take on initiatives across the broader procurement group. It requires a procurement professional who is commercially focused and confident to challenge the status quo, whilst maintaining a focus on governance and risk.

In addition, this position can contribute to the implementation of enhanced procurement policies, processes, and systems across the portfolio.
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

• Significant experience in procurement or commercial roles across a variety of categories.

• Recent experience in managing strategic services procurement categories in the AU/NZ market.

• Developed relationship management experience, including the ability to positively influence, motivate and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders

• Experience delivering strategic sourcing projects with proven success
