An exciting opportunity has arises for an experienced procurement professional to deliver across the full procurement lifecycle, from category planning to sourcing strategy, execution, contract management, and relationship management. Utilising your strong communication skills, a key focus will be developing strong internal stakeholder relationships by providing sound commercial advice and identifying innovative solutions to University challenges. Understanding the market, having knowledge of the critical cost and service dependencies, and recognizing key drivers for both internal and external stakeholders ensures that the Procurement team delivers on the University key commercial priorities. A strong interest and/or experience in delivering projects with a sustainability focus would be considered very favorably, as well as recent experience in managing hardware, software and IT-related professional services.

You will be responsible for delivering procurement projects across IT-related professional services, hardware, strategic software and cloud solutions, technological infrastructure and services, as well as strategic partnership spend categories. Naturally you will be commercially focused and confident to challenge the status quo, whilst maintaining a focus on governance and risk.

In addition, this position will play a leading role in the implementation of enhanced procurement policies, processes, and systems across the portfolio.
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
 

  • Substantial experience in procurement or commercial roles in AU or NZ within the relevant categories for this portfolio, particularly in the Technology space

 

  • Experience delivering strategic sourcing projects within the relevant categories, with proven success

 

  • Developed relationship management experience, including the ability to positively influence, motivate and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders

 

  • Strong analytical, evaluation, and research skills, together with ability to translate data into meaningful insights
