Description:
As a Principal Stormwater Engineer you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the Civil team. Working closely with clients, including government bodies and private developers, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality civil engineering and Stormwater solutions that meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate solid technical skills, particularly in DRAINS, MUSIC and Civil 3D, to provide credibility to clients and ensure the successful delivery of engineering projects. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continually enhance our service offerings. 12D or Civil Site design would also be highly regarded.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients, including government agencies and private developers, to understand their needs, anticipate future requirements, and help to cement our team as their preferred engineering partner.
- Team Leadership and Development: Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of staff to strengthen and expand our Newcastle team. Mentor and develop junior engineers, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our national Civil team and local Structures team to leverage their expertise and resources, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery of integrated engineering solutions to our clients.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Tier 3 o 2 Australian Consulting experience
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the engineering consulting industry, with a track record of successful project delivery and client relationship management.
- Strong technical skills, with proficiency in 12D or Civil3D software and other relevant engineering tools.
- Strong Stormwater skills would be beneficial as well.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a passion for mentoring and developing junior staff.
- Established network of contacts in the local Newcastle area would be highly advantageous.
