Primary Teacher

Description:

• Undergraduate or graduate qualifications in Special Education (Diversity and Inclusion)
• Interest in building further professional knowledge in inclusive practices
• Capacity to work strategically with a HOSES and Whole School Support team towards school specific targets in alignment with departmental priorities for inclusion
• Capacity to lead adaptive change with a year level focus through differentiation, planning, adjustments, coaching and mentoring
• Capacity to undertake and lead year level teams through processes for creating/reviewing PLP, ICP, support provisions, adjustments, curriculum adjustments, behaviour supports, risk management plans, NCCD Case meetings and other inclusion activities
• Shortlisted applicants may be required to undergo an interview process if required.
• Successful applicants will be appointed and commence in the role in term 1 2023, but will potentially be included in planning prior to this (where possible).

• Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. • In addition to registration, teachers working in Education and Care Services (including State Delivered Kindergarten programs) require an exemption card issued by Blue Card Services. For more information on blue cards and exemption cards, please CLICK HERE.
• Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department.
