Role: Presales Manager, APAC Enterprise Sales

As the Presales Manager in our APAC region, you will be a crucial member supporting our APAC Enterprise Sales Team - the division that drives our highest value growth opportunities throughout the region. Majority of our clients at Meltwater are on the SaaS subscription model, however for our top percentile of clients who have a greater need for customisation, Meltwater’s APAC Enterprise Sales is the dedicated team to consult and deliver curated solutions for their unique business needs.

Your primary responsibility as a Presales Manager is to work with our APAC Regional Sales Directors on the presales stages of a sales cycle for complex solution offerings. This includes taking ownership of doing up tender submissions, plus scoping and developing in-depth proposals and pitch decks.

The APAC Enterprise Sales Team is the fastest growing team within the Meltwater Group globally. To accommodate for this growth, we are constantly growing our sales enablement functions locally.

With the largest global mainstream news and social media source base, we enable any analysis to be built on top of the most complete data set possible. We surface these insights through our web & mobile applications, reports, and alerts, and enable our clients to integrate it with their internal systems through Meltwater’s APIs and leveraging on BI tools such as Domo, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.

What You’ll Do

  • Support APAC Regional Sales Directors with complex deals and sales opportunities in their pipeline, namely in the presales stage
  • Prepare deliverables in the presales stage include pitch decks and collaterals – this comprise of proposals, tender and RFP submissions, project cost estimations, collating relevant case studies, and sometimes doing presentations / demos, POCs or mock-ups
  • Produce Meltwater’s official response to the largest proposals we submit, while finding creative ways to stand out and impress the recipients
  • Deconstruct clients’ RFPs & tenders to fully understand the project scope and clients’ needs, then piecing everything back together in our response
  • Work with Sales Directors, internal teams, and liaise with clients to craft a comprehensive, thorough, and appealing proposal that displays the positives about the Meltwater solutions, while ensuring we tick all the boxes
  • Facilitate and coordinate the sharing of use cases from individual sales reps to the whole of APAC Enterprise Sales team

Who You Are

  • Currently based in / willing to relocate to Sydney or Melbourne
  • Hold full, unrestricted working rights in Australia (working holiday visa is not accepted)
  • Attained Bachelor’s degree (in any specialization)
  • 2 - 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Some experience with software demos, sales, or account management
  • Very proficient in using Microsoft Office, and excellent written and spoken English
  • You thoroughly enjoy preparing pitch decks, and crafting creative and unique deliverables to captivate your audience
  • Meticulous and detail oriented in the production of in-depth proposals or pitch decks
  • Some familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau will be useful
  • Passion for entrepreneurship & technology, SaaS & media intelligence, and you should be a regular consumer of the news / media
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Resourceful, creative, and proactive with the ability to work under tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment
