Strategic Communication is the department's centralised communication branch which delivers evidenced-based communication services to inform and educate the community about policies, programs and legislation across the justice and community safety system.

The Portfolio Communications team collaborates with teams across Strategic Communication, program areas and other key stakeholders to design and develop integrated communication campaigns and strategies that align with department and government priorities.

The Adviser is part of the Portfolio Communications team, providing advice and support to clients across the department on a broad range of communication activities, materials, and services.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Drafting, project managing and implementing communication and content strategies and campaigns including project management, approvals, monitoring and evaluation, working in partnership with other teams within Strategic Communication
  • Provide authoritative communication advice to department business units, regional offices, statutory entities, and executives
  • Developing and support social media communication plans and contribute high quality social media content.

The Adviser role is a varied, challenging and fulfilling opportunity to contribute to departmental priorities and programs through engaging and high-quality social media content and best practice communications.m
