Pool Lifeguard

The Nhulunbuy Corporation is seeking a dedicated, courteous, positive and engaged individual to join our team as a
Lifeguard. The shift roster for this position is Mon, Wed, Thurs & Fri – 10am till 3pm and a support role (back ll – 8/6
roster) of the Senior Lifeguard when on annual leave/courses etc. There is also a requirement to work over school
holiday periods.

• Active in outdoor activities and share the community spirit of Nhulunbuy?
• Keen to provide long-term commitment to the organisation?
• Able to supervise sta (lifeguards and junior lifeguards) concurrently?
• Experienced in customer service and cash-handling in a busy, active environment with competing priorities?

Whilst experienced candidates will be highly considered, the successful person will be a key member of the
Nhulunbuy Corporation’s Aquatic Centre team and in-house training will be provided.
The role will work closely with our Manager Community Development in coordinating the daily operations of the
Aquatic Centre and providing class-leading service to our community as well as ensuring the continuous operability
of the Aquatic Centre and associated infrastructure with direct support from our Infrastructure team.
We o er training and requali cation after every twelve months of completed service at no-cost to you, however
prior to commencement we require you to have your Senior First Aid, Bronze Medallion in addition to a current Pool
Lifeguard Skill Set (SISSS00111) or ability to attain this quali cation within 3-months of commencement in the role
if successful. It is also a requirement to have a current Working with Children (OCHRE) card
