We are seeking a highly skilled, inquisitive, and passionate individual who can work with HSU branches to advance the union’s policy agenda and special projects in the interests of our members and the people they support. Working as part of a small team and reporting to the HSU National Secretary, the Policy and Projects Officer will be responsible for coordinating events, such as conferences and stakeholder events, as well as monitoring changes to national policy, legislation and regulations that affect our members working in the health and community services sectors. On any given day you might be preparing a submission to a Parliamentary Inquiry or consultation paper, managing commissioned research, participating in campaign activity directed at policy outcomes or preparing a briefing on a particular issue for Federal MPs.
