Description:
The Climate Centre is a foundation dedicated to making meaningful impact on environmental and climate related issues. We focus on the impacts on people by conducting citizen science research, public outreach and advocacy by lobbying government, as well as supporting early career scientists and volunteers.
We have availability in our policy analyst volunteer team to conduct an assessment of Australia's current policy as it relates to climate change, the green energy transition and the environment and assess whether we are on track to meet our climate and environmental goals. The policy analyst will conduct literature and research review on a particular topic and assemble their work as a chapter as part of a larger report that the team will work on. We are seeking 4 volunteers, to each cover one of the following topics: public transportation, public health, plant-based agriculture and the impact on land-based biodiversity and conservation.
This is a fully remote role ideal for someone passionate about the environment, with a background in policy, research, or recently graduated from university studies. You must be capable of working independently and conducting research and analysis of policy in environmental topics. This is a volunteer role with no benefits other than fully remote work and flexible working hours, with approximately 10 hours commitment per week from the start of April to early June 2025. Short listed candidates will be assessed competitively via interview. If you have the skills and experience we are looking for and you are passionate about the environment and climate and conducting policy and research analysis we would love to hear from you.
