The National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) is one of the world’s leading training and education institutions in circus arts. Over the years, it has produced many national and international circus artists who now actively perform and are employed by major Circus and Physical Theatre companies around the world.

The position of Performance Studies Coordinator is accountable to the Head of Circus Studies. This position is primarily responsible for:

• Providing artistic and educational vision in performance and dance units in the Bachelor of Circus Arts and Certificate IV in Circus Arts
• Coordinating curriculum delivery in consultation with the Head of Circus Studies across the Bachelor of Circus Arts and Certificate IV in Circus Arts and other non-core programs as required
• Managing staff members teaching in the performance and dance units
• Instructing students across the year levels while ensuring health and safety standards.
• Contributing to the development of the performance and dance units in the Bachelor of Circus Arts and Certificate IV in Circus Arts.
• Working with international and national guest directors as required.
