We develop partnerships based on trust and integrity to foster excellence, engagement, and fairness, as we work to strengthen the University’s ability to recruit and retain high quality staff and develop a culture that encourages and supports academics and professional staff to reach their full potential.

The Role

As a People & Culture Partner, you will be a fundamental member of the People and Culture office, driving true HR business partnership throughout the University, assessing, and anticipating HR-related needs and acting as a change agent.

You will provide expert strategic support and advice on a wide variety of activities including but not limited to organisational change, employee relations, performance management, strengthening engagement between the leadership group and People and Culture office, and improved tracking of HR metrics to support business decisions.

What you’ll bring to this role

As the star candidate you will foster a level-headed approach to issues and competing priorities, with a strategic and customer centric mindset. You will have:

  • A degree in an area of HRM or relevant discipline, with substantial experience in HR partnering,
  • In-depth understanding of legislative and industrial framework,
  • Experience in advising on complex employee relations matters, organisational change programs and other human resource issues; and,
  • Strong organisational skills with a problem solving mindset.
