Payroll Officer

 

Description:

Our client is seeking a Payroll Officer to join their team and provide end-to-end payroll duties. Reporting to the CFO, you will be working out of the Head Office in Springwood in a 12-month contract.

The key responsibilities will include the overall management of the accounts payable function, ensuring invoices are recorded and paid. It is important you have strong relationship building skills.

Duties
 

  • Provide end-to-end Payroll for national employees
  • Identify and implement continuously improved opportunities and strategies
  • Ensure all data records and document controls are up to date and correct
  • Processing fortnightly timesheets for over 1700 employees
  • Interpretation of awards and keeping the business up to date with legislation
  • Support the overall development of the payroll function
  • Processing any reconciliations and reporting (e.g. PAYG, Super, Salary Sacrifice)
     

Skills & Experience:
 

  • Previous experience working in an end-to-end Payroll Officer position
  • Experience managing a team and providing assistance as a leader
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and relevant legislations within Cleaning, Security and Customer service awards (preferred)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or similar
  • Ability to use new Payroll systems quickly (foundU preferable)
  • Accurate data entry skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to build good relationships with payroll vendors and staff
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management skills and detail orientation
