The Opportunity
We are seeking applications from passionate and driven technical support professionals to join the university’s Academic Support Unit as a casual Technician with UniSC’s School of Health in 2023.
The Academic Support Unit provides a variety of support to the University’s academic functions which include work integrated learning, technical operations and school administration, providing expertise and support for innovative teaching, research excellence and outstanding learning experiences for students, ensuring these core activities meet legislative and governance requirements, and contribute to the effective and efficient operation of our Schools.
About you
You are energetic, versatile and have a flexible approach to your work. You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and pride yourself on your ability to work effectively both on your own or as part of team. Additionally, you will have the capacity to work under minimal supervision in a high-volume work environment and show initiative in adapting to changing situations.
You will possess:

• experience as a paramedic or nurse or have extensive background providing practical support in a health/medical setting;
• good manual handling skills and experience preparing and maintaining medical/simulation teaching equipment; and
• essential to have well-developed computer literacy and communication skills.
