Description:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Paediatrician to join our Bayswater team. As part of the multidisciplinary team at Aruma, you will be a Human Rights warrior, dedicated to family-centred practice. The role focuses on paediatric care, providing evidence-based services to children with developmental concerns. This position offers flexibility, with both full-time and part-time options available.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive examinations to assess physical condition and growth.
- Diagnose and treat minor illnesses, acute and chronic health problems, and developmental issues.
- Collect and maintain detailed client information, including medical histories, reports, and examination results.
- Prescribe and administer treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and specialized care for infants and children.
- Communicate procedures, test results, and treatment plans to clients and their parents or guardians.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests to determine medical conditions and diagnoses.
- Provide advice on diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Monitor client progress and response to treatments.
- Refer clients to specialists or other practitioners as needed.
About You
- Commitment to Aruma’s Strategic Intent, Purpose, Values, and Code of Conduct.
- MBBS or equivalent degree enabling registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Victoria.
- Registration with the Medical Practitioner Board of Victoria.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain professional registration with AHPRA or another relevant body, with evidence provided annually.
- Hold FRACP (Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians) or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact with a broad range of clinical service providers.
