Description:

An exciting opportunity for an Operations Officer has become available at Swinburne University of Technology. The Operations Officer is a dynamic role responsible for administering maintenance contracts and services for the student residences accommodation.

The successful applicant is engaged in building walk throughs, conducting regular inspections & audits of all 608 rooms and 180 apartments, ensuring regular maintenance and cleaning completion, large scale planning and scheduling, stocktake and purchasing. Coordination and communication with suppliers, contractors, and residents. Reporting regularly on services and health and safety outcomes, as well as a range of other relevant duties.

  • High level database skills in data entry, creating workflows and reports.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and electronic scheduling/e-mail software.
  • Efficient planning, scheduling and coordination of tasks
  • Strong customer focus to deliver quality service
  • Good verbal and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people internal and external to the residences
  • Completion of an associate diploma level qualification with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
