Description:
The Business Operations Manager (Software Delivery) is focused on serving the needs of the organisation's public sector transportation clients in Australia, New Zealand and through their partners, to Europe.
This leadership role is accountable for leading a team to deliver key identified results, with direct responsibility for Support, Maintenance, Professional Services and Relationship Management. This role also contributes collaboratively to the Product, Sales and Marketing strategy in this sector. The department consists of between 25-30 people nationally and they are a very close knit team.
A very hands-on role that would require someone who is action oriented, customer focused, with the ability to make decisions. This would suit someone who doesn't mind rolling their sleeves up to build up the team to generate successful customer outcomes.
- Overseeing the ongoing support of existing clients, ensuring their utilisation of deployed solutions is maximised, and that customer engagement is exemplary, as measured by customer satisfaction levels and back to base sales.
- Provision of professional consulting services to existing clients, ensuring successful customer outcomes and growing the value of our services and support business across the customer base.
- Ownership and achievement of Project and Customer key performance metric goals, ensuring revenue targets are delivered within approved cost budget
- Contributing actively to the achievement of new logo sales goals by collaborating with the Sales Manager to develop an effective sales strategy and supporting associated sales opportunities and tender responses as they arise.
- Proactively providing input to product management and helping shape our overall market approach.
- Ensuring a high degree of staff engagement and performance
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience successfully overseeing the implementation and support of complex technology solutions for enterprise-level customers.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience managing in a similar technology business. Experience with managing direct reports of teams of up to 8-10 technology teams (including software developers, project
- Experience working for a software vendor.
- Demonstrated experience across commercial management and contractual negotiation. Any experience working with Sales lead/team to produce solution delivery costs, pricing, estimation etc. for bids/tenders etc.
- Strong Microsoft Suite Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Project or Programme Management qualifications preferred. This role Requires someone who has experience overseeing software delivery/support projects in their background.
- Financial control and reporting. Experience looking after project financial and costings.
- Passenger Transport Industry experience is highly regarded but not essential
