Our client is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join their team in an established practice based in Kununurra. This successful therapist will be joining one of Australia’s largest NDIS providers and will provide allied health support within a multidisciplinary context to individuals of a varied demographic.

This opportunity is available on a 1 week on 1 week off basis with regular flights from Perth to Kununurra or Port Headland. Accommodation will be provided within proximity to practice.

Due to a huge period of expansion across the WA, this organisation is seeking a passionate clinician to join a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team. This role will require a superstar therapist with a true passion and desire to support children in the private practice and community environment. With opportunities work with a broad demographic and options to choose your own caseload preference or work a hybrid of both, no two days are the same!

As an Occupational therapist, you will provide a comprehensive range of intervention support to individuals of varied abilities and presentations. Through your compassionate nature and enjoyment of helping others you will help your patients achieve significant milestones and aspirations.

‘Kununurra is the gateway town to the East Kimberley, and boasts some of Western Australia’s most remarkable natural attractions, including World Heritage-listed Purnululu National Park and its beehive-shaped Bungle Bungle Range. Kununurra is neat and well-planned, making it an ideal base to explore the surrounding locations’

  • You will provide occupational therapy assessments and intervention for individuals of all abilities with an aim to optimise health for a broad demographic of patients, inclusive of NDIS participants.
  • Work in consultation with families, carers, guardians and health care providers, provide care coordination and liaise closely with service providers and community networks to ensure effective and efficient outcomes for all.
  • Effectively assess the needs of patients and ensure that efficient support is implemented and managed.
  • You will provide ongoing support in a clinical environment and ensure therapy is timely, clinically and culturally appropriate.
  • You will have the ability to meet the responsibilities of your role including positive outcomes with participants.
  • Offer a person-centered approach to individuals and continue to strive to find positive outcomes for all.
  • You will be an experienced or new graduate Occupational Therapist with the ability to deliver transdisciplinary therapy services paediatric or adult participants in regional WA, the Kimberley and surrounding areas.
  • You will have the capacity to effectively manage a growing caseload of participants with of varied presentations and abilities, and children experiencing neurodevelopmental disabilities.
  • You will have the ability to provide efficient and engaging support to children or adults obtaining NDIS funding.
  • You will deliver therapy in a range of settings depending on participant goals. You may be in the clinic, helping children and their families practise a new skill or on the road, delivering therapy in home or community settings. There will be opportunities to travel to remote WA, supporting children with neurodevelopmental differences and their communities
