Provide clinical support to SNSW LHD staff working with clients and their families accessing the NDIS. Through staff training, capacity building and clinical decision support the incumbent will monitor and mitigate the impact of the NDIS on the health service.

  • Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (Nursing, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist) or eligibility for membership with the peak professional association (Social Workers, Dietitian, Speech Pathologist).
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in the Allied Health discipline OR relevant post registration qualifications in community nursing or disability related field with at least 3 years’ experience in the clinical area of community nursing.
  • Demonstrated experience of high level effective negotiation and communication skills with senior personnel across hospital and health care settings.
  • Previous leadership experience, including service change, quality improvement or project implementation with effective skills to support change management.
  • Knowledge of NDIS and understanding of the range of SNSW LHD community health services provided.
  • High level computer literacy including word, excel and SNSW LHD databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, provide training, clinical support and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.

All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
All NSW Health Category A workers are required to have received at least three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful. Category B positions must have atleast two doses and must also provide COVID-19 vaccination evidence if sucessful.
