Deadly Science is looking for Non Executive Director.

The role of a non-executive director (voluntary) at Deadly Science

· Contribute to the strategic direction of Deadly Science and decide upon the organisation's strategies and objectives in conjunction with the CEO and COO

· Monitor the strategic direction of Deadly Science and the attainment of its strategies and objectives in conjunction with the executive.

· Monitor the operational and financial position and performance of Deadly Science

· Assure a prudential and ethical base to the conduct and activities of Deadly Science having regard to the relevant interests of its stakeholders.

· Assure the principal risks faced by Deadly Science are identified and managed;

· Ensure that Deadly Science affairs are conducted with transparency and accountability.

Competencies, Attributes, Qualifications

Specifically, we are seeking to fill a Director Position with the following expertise:

· Understand or experience the needs of Indigenous communities

· Not-for-profit charitable organisations

Other mandatory criteria include:

· Demonstrated passion for promoting STEM and other opportunities to remote schools and Indigenous communities

· Minimum of 3 years' board director experience

Time Commitment Required:

The Deadly Science Board meets once every four weeks virtually for approximately 60 mins, and attendance by all Board Directors at these meetings is required including a timely response to any correspondence or actions delegated to them.
