Queensland Rail is looking for Network Interface Analyst
Some of the day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Provide business advice on and assess interface requirements for access enquiries, connection agreements and facilities licenses.
- Assess Operator's operating and/or test plans, and recommend authorization of services for operation on the Queensland Rail network.
- Prepare and issue Train Route Acceptances and Authorities to Travel for proposed operations on the Queensland Rail network.
- Liaise with and provide advice to operators, other rail managers, access seekers/holders and other Queensland Rail divisions regarding compliance/non-compliance with interface standards to provide for safe railway operations.
- Support joint interface risk assessments for access agreements, connection agreements and facilities licenses.
- Provide business advice and assistance to other Queensland Rail divisions in relation to access agreements, connection agreements and facilities licenses.
- Monitor railway operations on the Queensland Rail network and report on interface incidents and non-compliances.
- Research and advise on developments in railway operations, interface standards and access regimes to promote the continuous improvement of interface standards.
To be considered, applicants will need to demonstrate the following:
- Sound knowledge of railway operations, rail infrastructure, the interfaces between rail infrastructure and rollingstock and the requirements for safe rail transport.
- High level of skill in applying the requirements for safe rail transport in determining conditions of travel for the safe rail movement of rollingstock.
- Ability to apply the principles of risk management.
- Strong analytical and business-focused skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication and consultation skills whilst working in a flexible manner with a team approach.
