Network Engineer

Description:

Review vendor consultant's (Wormald) audit analysis and produce work plans and scope of works as "Work Packages" for delivery.
Produce Bill of Materials (BOM) for procurement of all Network hardware required, e.g., Data and Fibre Cables and add-ons, Media Convertors, Switches etc.
Design work with installation and configuration of network infrastructure/ switch at edge building locations for fibre/ ports connection/ configuration as per best practices of network hardware.
Provide network trouble shooting and resolving issues in various parts of network/ cameras infrastructure.
Network data and fibre cabling, Rack installation of network switches and configuration.
SME input and manage technical aspects of civil works by third party vendors.
Develop test plans and carry out validation end to testing post configuration and replacement of Security Cameras as per test plans and seek stakeholders sign off.
Prepare documents required for any regulatory compliance required as per company policy and procedures.
Follow WHS guidelines when in labs and other potentially hazardous settings.
Audit analysis of comms cabinets spread across Buildings.
Produce BOM requirements for Comms Cabinets remediation's and procure/ assess/ qualify quotes with internal SMEs.
Create Work Plans and carry out Comms Cabinets remediation's across around 75 Comms Cabinets with varying degree of remediation's required to comply with building standards and other network standards.
Documentation and design abilities.
Network trouble shooting and resolving issues.
Network data and fibre cabling, Rack installation of network switches and configuration.
Ability to decipher and resolve medium to complex IT challenges.
Demonstrated experience with best security practice.
Ability to co-ordinate internal and external vendors' work delivery conforming to building standards.
Strong customer communication skills.
Willingness and ability to work as part of a team with the drive and understanding to achieve the project objectives.
Understanding of security camera replacements / upgrades.
Understanding ACMA cabling standards for fibre and data.
