One of Australia’s Primary Federal Government Departments is looking to engage multiple skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join their multi skilled team based in Canberra. Our client is looking to engage Network Engineer who can analyse, develop, interpret, and evaluate complex telecommunications systems designs. The successful Network Engineer will secure a contract to 30th June 2023 with 2x 12-month extensions with a rewarding pay rate.

The successful Network Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Assess and make recommendations for improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, and operating systems.
• Provide network programming in support of specific business needs and requirements.
• Develop and support key internal and external relationships, including managing stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals.
• Design network configuration withing in Microsoft Azure in conjunction with the modern workplace team.

The successful Network Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Ability to install, configure, test, maintain and administer new and upgraded networks, including support and troubleshoot network problems and emergencies.
• Experience configuring Dynamic Routing Protocols such as BGP, OSPF.
• Experience Configuring and maintaining FortiGate firewalls.
• Understanding of maintaining and operating Layer 2 networks such a Vlans, Trunks, Spanning-Tree.
