Mobile Engineer

QPay is a campus marketplace for students. Our mission is to deliver passive convenience to students and organisations on campus. We facilitate payments for students for all their society memberships, event ticketing, merchandise, and more. With more than 400,000 students using our platform for their payments on campus, the next step for QPay is to expand our union and card products!

Come help shape the future of QPay. We are looking for a Mobile Developer to join our development team and work together with our Product Managers and Designers to support the growth of our platforms. This role would suit someone who has a passion for solving problems and a track record of delivering delightful mobile experiences.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to build features that delight our customers
• Provide technical input into solution design and sprint planning processes
• Build, test, and deploy new updates for the QPay App (built with Flutter)
• Stay up to date with new mobile technologies
• Maintain technical subject matter expertise of the QPay App

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• 2+ years experience as a Mobile Developer
• Experience building with Flutter
• Experience consuming REST APIs and JSON processing
• Experience with Android Studio and Xcode
• Good knowledge of the App Store and Google Play Store
• Strong problem solving skills
• Driven, passionate, fast learner
• Organised and self-motivated
• Comfortable using data to inform decisions
• Nice to have: Knowledge of common web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript
