Description:

NSW Department of Customer Service is looking for Medical Panel Officer.

In This Role You Will

  • Provides supervision, performance management and guidance to the panel of independent medical assessors who determine workers compensation and motor accidents disputes for the Personal Injury Commission.
  • Supports medical assessors with their use of the digital dispute management system.
  • Leads the recruitment, onboarding, education, training and quality improvement program for medical assessors.
  • Contributes to the development of processes, procedures and guidance material that assists medical assessors execute their decision-making functions.
  • Engages with the case management functions to ensure quality and efficiency of medical dispute resolution.
  • Provides internal support to case management divisions

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Demonstrate

  • You have knowledge and experience in personal injury claims management, case management or dispute resolution
  • You have a strong eye for detail and have experience applying complex legislation, guidelines and rules to ensure quality outcomes
  • You have strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • You are a constructive and productive team member who can also work independently when required
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • You are able to work flexibly and adaptably to respond to changing priorities
