The Rural Clinical Schools program is designed to encourage medical students to take up a career in rural practice by enabling them to undertake extended clinical training placements in rural locations. The program also seeks to have a more immediate impact on the rural medical workforce by encouraging health professionals to take up rural academic positions.

The Lismore Rural Clinical School is seeking a Medical Educator, Surgery to contribute to teaching, administration and research in the School of Medicine. The Medical Educator, Surgery will be committed to the education of future medical practitioners and will contribute to the discipline of Surgery locally and internationally.

This is a part-time (7 hours per week), fixed-term position until April 2025. This position is based at the University Centre for Rural Health (UCRH), in Lismore, New South Wales.
