Since its inception in 1989, The University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA) has become a leader in higher education and now has over 12,000 students enrolled across its three main campuses in Broome, Fremantle, and Sydney. The Office of the Pro Vice Chancellor Communications and Engagement is a newly created portfolio within the University bringing together media, communications, government relations, events, alumni, philanthropy, marketing and brand. Our aim is to create a high performing team that works together to raise the profile, reputation and engagement with the University’s key stakeholders and partners. An important part of how we will achieve this is through effective and creative story telling by sharing our successes, achievements and activities using a variety and channels and techniques.
Our aim is to create a high performing and dynamic media and communications team with a focus on creative story telling and strategic media and communications support.
Initially reporting to the Pro Vice Chancellor Communications and Engagement, this will form part of a national team that is responsible for creating high quality and engaging content across the full range of media and communications channels, as well as providing strategic advice on all internal and external communications and reputational issues.
The role will require flair, creativity, and innovation to discover, create and edit unique content that is engaging and easily understood by targeted audiences across a variety of channels and using a mixture of communications techniques. The role will also provide strategic communications support to a range of projects and initiatives as required across the University.
