Mechatronics Engineer

LYRO Robotics is looking to hire a Mechatronics Engineer

We are looking for a talented, motivated, and proactive Mechatronics Engineer to boost our growing team in our existing robotics facility in the south of Brisbane. At LYRO, we create the next generation of robots that learn, adapt, and deal with unpredictable scenarios. Our team develops integrated robotic solutions in-house by combining hardware, software, and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, including testing rigs & quality assurance processes
• Development, testing, and maintenance of firmware for our equipment
• Maintaining a build schedule for robotic platforms
• Ownership of safety systems around our production and products, including risk assessments, safe work procedures, safety-system design, …
• Participating in robot deployments and commissioning at customer sites

Essential Qualifications/Experience

• 3+ years of industry experience
• C/C++ development for embedded platforms
• Designing end executing test and verification processes
• Previous industrial automation and robotics experience
• Experience using software versioning systems (preferred: Git)
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics

Desirable Qualifications/Experience

• Python Programming, Docker, ROS
• Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, etc)
• AS4024 experience
• Fusion 360 (or similar software)

Candidates with an accredited Bachelor’s degree in Engineering are preferred. However, all candidates with suitable experience are encouraged to apply.
