About the Role

UGL is currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to become a key member of the Lower South Creek team within the Utilities division. The Project Engineer is responsible for providing engineering and administrative coordination for the design, supply, installation and testing of the project.
Key Responsibilities:

• Review and plan the project to ensure technical aspects of job are clear and to become familiar with contractual arrangements made with client.
• Liaise with Design team on all technical aspects of the project.
• Provides a focal point for all technical based queries for associated suppliers and Construction Supervisor.
• Attend meeting with client on all disciplines of the work.
• Procurement of materials, preparation of material requisitions and expediting to schedule.
• Prepares all ITP’s, Check sheets and associated Project Specific Procedures and Work Packs.
• Ensures that the quality requirements of the client are adhered to and that company procedures are followed.
• Assist with the preparation and updating of time schedules, budgets and other performance monitoring tools.
• Assist with monthly, weekly and daily reporting.
• Preparation of marked up drawings and documentation to facilitate completion of work as executed drawings, manuals and handover documentation.
• Assessment of risks and hazards involved in tasks, and methods to manage the hazards in order to prevent incidents, injury and damage.
