Mechanical Fitter

Description:

Afternoon shift and day shift available working on Subsidiary of Caterpillar. Redbank facility is the larges Rail site in Australia. Locomotive overhaul, scheduled servicing and maintenance of locomotives and their components. Consisting of the following work sections:
 

• 2700 Fab and Overhaul
• GT42 Fab and Overhaul
• Engines/Combos

Previous experience with engines is required doesnt have to be locomotives but recent experience with engine rebuilds and maintenance ideal

The role

• Fault finding, maintenance and rebuild of small locomotive components
• Overhauling brake components
• Use of tools of the trade and fixed plant

What you need

Recent experience as a Mechanical Fitter/ Diesel mechanic.
You will need to be safety focused, physically fit and able to complete manual tasks.

• Experience in fault finding and maintenance of components
• Demonstrated experience in an engineering environment
• Able to pass a pre employment medical
• Competitive rates - $45.94 day and $52.80 afternoon hr + Penalty Rates + Super + PAYG Tax + tool allowance

• Monday to Friday - 9 day fornight
• Workshop based role located in Redbank Plains
