Opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a progressive Company which will value your skills and contribution in providing outcomes and the highest levels of support to our customers.

We currently have a full time permanent opportunity for a experienced Mechanical Engineer to work on our mechanical fabrication and construction projects. The person will need to ensure our mechanical scopes are delivered to specifications, industry standards and they meet compliance needs.

The need for actual design is limited as design in usually supplied to us. This person needs to review and manage this design.

Project management skills are essential and the person must be familiar with planning and monitoring using a formal scheduling package. We use Microsoft Project.

The roles key focus is to provide a technical lead within the mechanical project scopes.

Drawing on your experience the types of the work include;

  • Liaison with customers and internal teams.
  • Reviewing external designs for alignment with estimates and scopes.
  • Providing internal and external mechanical specifications.
  • Technically supervising job delivery to ensure the design and standards are met.
  • Working with project managers and other Triple I sections with the needs of integrated works.

The successful candidate will have Australian residency and be positioned in the Illawarra Region of NSW. The applicant must be able to provide evidence they have the experience and skills to suit the coverage of the job needs and must have;

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent . It is essential that their expertise and approvals will be accepted by heavy industry customers.
  • Demonstrated experience in heavy industry or manufacturing with a solid understanding of engineering practices.
  • Demonstrate a solid commitment to safety, quality, honesty and work integrity.
  • Demonstrated communication skills effective in dealing with both customers and team members.
