Mechanical Design Engineer

A nationally recognized company that has over 30 years experience of mining experience and has a rich history within the Newcastle Region is seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support the engineering needs to due to a large uplift of work that has no intention of slowing down anytime soon. You will demonstrate your ability work within a thriving team with endless support.

The Mechanical Engineers role will be required but not limited to:
 

• Provide engineering solutions, to the design and development of new products and problem solving.
• Perform Mechanical Designs using CAD and FEA applications.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regularly and ensuring a healthy relationship.
• Lead design review meetings, including preparation of presentation material and provision of meeting agendas and minutes.
• Develop and maintain project schedules based on project scope of work and key milestones.
• Review project costs and schedule against contracted deliverables and budgets and provide status reports and forecasting.
• Develop technical specifications for outsourcing of specialised engineering and manufacturing services.
• Follow applicable Quality Operating and assurance Procedures.
