Description:

Reporting to the Area Manager Logistic Systems, you will work alongside 11 other team members, made up of Mechanics, Trade Assistants and Production Workers. This division forms part of our greater Production team which also includes the Weld Shop, Paint Shop, Assembly areas, Armour Shop and Prototype Shop. This role will be based full time at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) in Redbank.

About The Role

As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for completing work processes within the Integration and Rework production area. This role will focus on supporting the Land 121 Logistics Vehicles program which will see you working on military trucks.

As a Mechanic, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

  • Complete build tasks for vehicles in accordance with Technical Instructions, Engineering Drawings, Quality Standards, and WHS requirements.
  • Complete re-work tasks on vehicle parts and vehicle systems in accordance with approved engineering instructions;
  • Build, fabricate, modify and maintain the required tooling, equipment, and assembly aids as required to complete build activities; and
  • Maintain the safe and efficient storage of required parts, tools and equipment in the workshop stores and working areas.
