Description:
The Marketing Officer is a pivotal role in the day-to-day management, delivery and support processes associated with destination marketing activities and assets.
The Marketing Officer is also a key support to other members of the team, and broader branch, and requires a flexible and consultative approach. The Marketing Officer is expected to be able to work effectively individually with minimal supervision, and be able to proactively collaborate within a team.
The role also encompasses significant administrative components to support destination marketing activities and outcomes, and requires a high standard of accurate, timely, comprehensive performance.

- A relevant Tertiary Qualification in marketing, advertising, communications, tourism, business or project management and/or considerable on-the-job experience in roles in these fields.
- Well-developed project skills with the ability to provide input into the planning process, work to defined project plans, and deliver projects all to time, budget, governance and quality specifications.
- Well-developed administrative skills with the ability to develop work plans, maintain record systems, coordinate external suppliers, provide operational support and deliver work to all time, budget, governance and quality specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously to coordinate and deliver a number of marketing projects simultaneously in a complex, large, fast-paced and agile team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner to a wide audience.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships, to maintain a positive and professional manner in a fast paced environment and embrace change.
- High level technical skills and a proven ability to work with standard computer programs and tailored applications.
