We have a fabulous opportunity for an experienced and passionate Category Marketing Manager to join our high performing a Marketing team on a 12-month basis. The Category Marketing Manager reports to the Head of Content and Marketing Strategy and is responsible for leading the content and category strategy for Toys, Nursery and Hard Active products.

  • Working with insights and analytics to inform category strategy

  • Identifying category gaps, customer audience and behaviour changes required to achieve marketing objectives and sales growth

  • Building a 6-month, 12-month and 3-year and always on category strategy

  • Exploring communications led growth opportunities relevant to the product categories manage by fully embracing insights, data and performance

  • Collaborating with key internal stakeholders such as Marketing team, Online team, Merchandise team, PR, Insights, Analytics, Performance Marketing

  • Degree in Marketing or related business discipline

  • Experience building strategic category marketing plans that drive incremental and sustained commercial growth

  • Considerable Marketing and Communications experience in retail, FMCG or major brands

  • Strong business and commercial acumen

  • Ability to translate customer and business insights into effective communications strategies to deliver growth

  • Strong planning, organization, project management and time management skills

  • Strong influencing, negotiation and decision-making skills
