The Role

Discovery Holiday Parks is embracing the new normal and is undertaking a historic transformation to build the Park experience of the future. Accordingly, significant investment is being made into the marketing strategies in the regional communities of our parks’ network. The Marketing Coordinator is a newly created role that will be integral to the broader marketing team. Particularly in relation to supporting local area marketing activities within our local area marketing team.

To be successful in this role, the Marketing Coordinator will need to be enthusiastic to learn and be involved, organised and insatiably curious about our customers and products. Commercially astute and educated, key behaviours needed to succeed in the role include communication, collaboration, drive, flexibility and a want to learn and grow.

This role will require you to:

  • Liaise with internal and external contractors, including graphic designers, photographers, industry operators and copywriters
  • Assist with general marketing enquiries and park collateral orders including monitoring, distributing, and responding to emails received within the Marketing and Collateral inboxes.
  • Contribute to and manage execution of: tactical reactive briefs for key local area marketing activity including but not limited to briefing and proofing eDM communications and creative concepts; paid advertising social and digital campaigns in collaboration with the digital team.
  • Collaborate broadly across the Support Office teams including marketing, digital, operations and finance

Your Experience

You will have tertiary qualifications in Marketing or a related field and you are ready to use all of your knowledge in a hands-on, growth opportunity. You will pride yourself on your organisation skills and your ability to switch priorities on short notice. You have a particular interest in advertising, research and analytics and their relationship to successful outcomes. Your resourcefulness, ability to think strategically and your natural curiosity must be of the highest order to be successful in this role.

You will possess a high level of energy, self-motivation, autonomy, initiative, flexibility and attention to detail to be successful in meeting the business demands at Discovery Parks. Your naturally upbeat and open style will fit our cultural values. You will have a highly organised mindset with the ability to assess the urgency of work allocated to you by various stakeholders.
