Working within the atWork Australia Marketing Communications team, the Marketing Communications Assistant will play a key role in supporting the delivery of marketing activity that ultimately drives leads and referrals for atWork Australia’s employment services programs and increases brand and service awareness amongst key stakeholders.

The role will provide timely production of marketing and communications material for the division in accordance with contractual requirements set out by Department of Employment and atWork Australia policies and procedures.

The Marketing Communications Assistant is motivated and professional with superb time management skills and excellent attention to detail. Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager, they will support the Marketing Communications team in the execution of the Marketing Communications strategy, as well as lead some projects

Key Duties

  • Working closely with the atWork Australia Marketing Communications team, and the wider atWork Australia team to deliver the Marketing Communications strategy.
  • Managing the Marketing Communications team’s production schedule including fielding briefs and requests from the wider team, coordinating design and production of branding and marketing materials and briefing / executing projects with the external design agency.
  • Writing content for internal and external communications including website, social media, and internal announcements / newsletters.
  • Assisting in the support / coordination of marketing or networking events.
  • Creating, uploading and maintaining website and social media content.
  • Day to day monitoring / maintenance of social media platforms.
  • Providing general administrative / executional support to the Marketing Communications team.
  • Delivering daily outputs and results which include, but not limited to, ad hoc marketing and communications projects.
  • Always maintaining a client and customer focus and commitment to deliver service excellence.
  • Perform all work in accordance with Quality Management System and the National Standards for Disability Services and other regulatory requirements whilst actively supporting the team to do this.
  • Ensure full compliance with Employment Services Contract by passing internal and external audits, as well as compliance with internal policies and procedures.

About You

  • Experience working within a Marketing / Communications Assistant role or a relevant degree and internship experience.
  • Experience in marketing communications preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate with both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to build and nurture collaborative relationships.
  • Experience with social media platforms, WordPress and Microsoft Office suite desirable.
  • A desire to work for a company with purpose essential.

This opportunity is a Full Time Max Term Contract until June 30, 2023, with the likely view to extend into our next government contract.
