About the role
We’re seeking a Marketing Automation Specialist as Transurban delivers on its digital-first, customer-obsessed strategy, the Marketing Automation Stream is critical in helping to reimagine our customer experiences and uplifting our business processes to create better outcomes.
As the Marketing Automation Specialist, you’ll be responsible for delivering campaigns, automation and journeys through eDM, SMS, print and other channels.
This is a permanent ongoing opportunity. This role can be done as full-time or part-time as a 4-day week or 9-day fortnight within a Hybrid working environment.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Work with key stakeholders to gather requirements, design and build campaigns, then test and deploy.
- Design and document proposed automation and journeys.
- Identify areas for data-led learning, optimisation, and automation.
- Support the development of solutions for business problems utilising the functionality available in Salesforce Marketing Cloud – utilising email studio, automation studio, journey builder, mobile studio, cloud pages, advanced analytics.
- Prepare and present packs outlining campaign and communication design, audience strategy, results, optimisation etc. As well as providing recommendations for improvements.
- Where applicable develop A/B test strategies.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and squads to provide guidance on what is possible in the marketing automation platform and help design seamless customer experiences.
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
- Hands on, technical experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with exposure to Email Studio, Mobile Studio and/or Journey Builder.
- Any knowledge in building complex, multi-stage user journeys and automations is a bonus.
- Ability to apply critical thinking and business acumen when designing solutions for business problems.
- Strategic thinking, curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset.
- A builder of relationships, you won’t be afraid to challenge the status quo, helping to problem solve through your technical knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to consult, influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders from different areas.
- Experience or understanding of Agile inspired ways of working highly regarded.
- High attention to details.

- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications are a bonus.
