Marketing And Communications Officer

We're looking for a Communications Unicorn that can collaboratively deliver marketing and communications for multiple brands across the organisation. They will have exceptional copy writing skills to nail our media releases, capture our stories and produce brilliant publications. They will also focus on digital marketing including content planning and creation, social media management, website management, marketing campaigns and digital marketing solutions.

Reporting to the Executive Manager Office of the CEO and working in our Communications Team, some of the key responsibilities are:

• Support and partner with teams across the organisation to deliver their marketing and communications requirements for various brands
• Provide copy writing and editing of written material for publication
• Coordinate media relations and respond to requests in a timely manner
• Coordinate Council's social media channels including content planning, generation, monitoring, customer responses and reporting
• Maintain and improve Council's Websites
• Develop, plan and deliver marketing campaigns
• Administer Council's paid advertising bookings and coordinate content
• Coordinate general marketing and communication projects across the organisation
• Support the development and implement Council's Marketing & Communications Strategy

The successful applicant must have

• A sense of humour
• Qualifications, or substantial work experience in public relations, communications, marketing, digital marketing or a related field
• Exceptional written communication skills used to copy write, produce, proofread and edit a range of communication materials
• Demonstrated experience in social media management
• Demonstrated experience in website management
• A current driver's license
