Description:
The role of the Marketing and Communications Manager is to strategically plan, execute, and manage all marketing and communication efforts for the organisation. Your primary goal is to promote NATSIHA’s mission, raise awareness about Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander housing issues, and advocate for better housing outcomes for Aboriginal communities.
The Marketing and Communications Manager plays a critical role in driving the success of the NATSHIA by effectively conveying its message, engaging stakeholders, and advocating for better housing solutions for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Responsibilities
- Developing Marketing and Communication Strategies, working with the leadership team to create comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that align with the organisation's goals and objectives.
- Building and maintaining relationships with media outlets, journalists, and stakeholders to secure positive media coverage and press releases.
- Digital Marketing and Social Media, including overseeing the organisation's online presence, managing social media accounts, and creating engaging content to reach and connect with target audiences.
- Developing and curating relevant and impactful content that educate the public about Aboriginal housing issues and the work of NATSIHA and working with the advocacy team to develop communication materials that support policy initiatives and campaigns.
- Collaborating with other organisations, government agencies, and community partners to amplify the reach and impact of marketing and communication efforts.
- Monitoring the impact of marketing and communication efforts through metrics such as website traffic, social media engagement, media mentions, and campaign results. Using data to refine strategies and improve performance.
Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years working within a similar Marketing or Communications role, ideally across Housing or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Initiatives
- Relevant Marketing, Communications, Business (or similar) territory degree (desirable not essential)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong CRM and Database management experience
- Strong Data Analysis, digital marketing and content creation experience
- Passionate about the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community with ties to the people and culture
