About the team

The role of the Office of the Chief Executive (also known as OCE) is to support the wider organisation in delivering a connected metro service for Sydney, providing more choice to customers, and opportunities for our communities – now, and in the future. OCE acts as a central hub providing strategic advice and support to the Chief Executive and the Executive Team. OCE works collaboratively across Metro to deliver clear governance and strategy, exploring innovation and improvement opportunities organisationally, stewarding executive priorities and initiatives and leading government business activity and wider cross-government and ministerial relationships.

About you

You are a strategic thinker, who enjoys working within a complex fast-moving environment, and you have a solid understanding of legislative frameworks. You can comprehend big picture and executive perspectives and are able to build and manage all levels of stakeholders.

Some of your specific skills are:

• Succinct and high-quality writing skills with the ability to tailor written and verbal communication and experience preparing advice for senior executives.

• Result orientated with a capacity to successfully juggle multiple deliverables and complex issues, in a busy and time sensitive environment.

• Experience working across multiple competing projects within a large organisation, strong planning, and program management skills.

• Exceptional relationship management experience across a broad range of stakeholders.

• Succinct and high-quality writing skills with the ability to tailor written and verbal communication.
