Transport for NSW is looking for Manager Regional Development.

The Opportunity

Right now we have a newly created position for a Manager, Regional Development to join our newly formed Regional Development & Planning Team.

The role is responsible for providing regional development advice and analysis that leverages investment in fast rail infrastructure to grow regional economies, create jobs and achieve positive social outcomes for the regions. The role works across multi-disciplinary, matrixed teams to help shape projects within the Fast Rail Program.

What you’ll be involved in:

• Provide high-quality evidence-based regional development advice and analysis, to ensure the best possible regional development outcomes.
• Guide the implementation of strong economic, industry, and jobs growth outcomes across Fast Rail projects
• Ensure the best information is available for regional development purposes by acquiring relevant socioeconomic data
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the economic and social context of the project regions
   

About You

The role operates with a high level of autonomy, the position holder is expected to deliver assigned projects on time and at or below budget and is fully accountable for the quality, integrity and accuracy of expert advice provided.

You will have a proven track record of ensuring the delivery of effective regional development solutions. You will have experience in maintaining and developing knowledge of emerging regional development issues and opportunities, and the strategies to mitigate those issues at a regional scale.

Experience working in a complex multi-stakeholder environment will be critical to your success.

Transport is always evolving, and so it is essential that you are able to build solid professional relationships and undertake forward planning to ensure that strategic decision-making is integrated with broader government initiatives.

Experience in large infrastructure projects delivering outcomes for the regions is desirable, but not essential.
