The Manager of Stakeholder Engagement and Social Performance is a key position responsible for the leadership and strategic direction setting of social performance and stakeholder engagement activities for the organisation and projects.

The Manager of Stakeholder Engagement and Social Performance will lead our efforts in engaging with external stakeholders and ensuring that our social performance aligns with our values and commitments. The role plays a crucial role in enhancing our company's reputation and maintaining positive relationships with communities, regulatory bodies, and other relevant stakeholders. You will collaborate across the business to integrate social performance considerations into business processes and decision-making.

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Provide leadership to engagement and social performance professionals to foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment which sets clear objectives, provides regular feedback, and supports team members' professional development.
  • Lead the teams to ensure the delivery and maintenance of the Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Strategy with supporting plans and activities which support the organisation and the projects across the program.
  • Lead the development and delivery of a Social Performance Policy and associated initiatives across the organisation to align with company values and objectives as well as ensuring industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate social performance considerations into business processes and decision-making and ensuring reporting on key social performance metrics provide continuous improvement.
  • Work with the projects to ensure the design and implementation of robust impact measurement and evaluation processes are completed to assess the social, environmental, and community outcomes of our initiatives.
  • Oversee stakeholder engagement resources engaged on pumped-hydro projects to ensure works being undertaken comply with the stakeholder engagement strategy.
  • Lead the strategy for stakeholder research, complaints management, governance, and systems that require support.
  • Prepare regular reports on stakeholder engagement and social performance activities for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to stakeholder interactions, social performance initiatives, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Manage the provision of training and up skilling in regard to engagement practice to ensure consistency with business objectives, strategies and standards.
  • Guide and monitor engagement activities undertaken by consultants to ensure alignment with program and communication objectives, protocols, and statutory requirements.
